Call for Speakers: How to Apply & What We Are Looking For


Are you passionate about Python? Do you have a story, lesson, or project to share? PyCon Uganda 2025 is now accepting proposals for speakers, and we want YOU to apply! Whether you're a seasoned developer, educator, or someone new to Python, your voice matters at our conference.

How to Apply

  • Visit the official PyCon Uganda website and navigate to the “Speak at PyCon” section.
  • Submit your proposal for a talk, workshop, or tutorial-no experience is too small!
  • The deadline for proposals is approaching soon, so don’t delay.

What We Are Looking For

  • Talks on Python applications in data, web, AI, education, community, and beyond.
  • Workshops or tutorials for all experience levels.
  • Personal journeys, lessons learned, and unique perspectives from diverse backgrounds.
  • We especially encourage submissions from underrepresented and marginalized groups in tech-your experiences are valuable and needed.

Opportunity Grants

If financial constraints might prevent you from attending, apply for an opportunity grant. These grants can help cover travel and registration, with priority given to speakers and those from underrepresented groups.
